I am currently 23 years young and was born and raised in Sumter, South Carolina, but I have been living in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina for the past five years. I've grown quite accustomed to life in the Lowcounrtry and I'm not sure if I ever want to leave! I received my Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography from the College of Charleston in May of 2011. I am a collector of antique cameras and my collection is ever expanding… some cameras as old as the turn of the 20th century! I shoot digital primarily, but I have a special place in my heart for film and accompanying darkroom.

Most photographers say that photography is their "job," "passion" or they "do it on the side for fun/money," but I feel my relationship with photography is much deeper than that. It is a part of me - probably the best part. Each picture is a piece of me. My photographs are a tangible part of my heart that I'm willing to share with everyone. I've dedicated my life to this craft starting at age fifteen and I haven't looked back once. I have never questioned that this is what I was born to do. When I capture the most beautiful, pleasing and heartfelt images that I possibly can, only then am I finally happy. But the best part is the indescribable feeling I get when seeing and hearing that my photographs have actually brought tears of joy to the eyes of my clients and that is how I know that I am who I'm supposed to be. God chose me, put me here at this time with this specific skill to help me help others feel joy, if only for a second.

"I'm more of a machine; an input of ideas with an output of photographs. like a composer to his compositions. its already in your soul, you just have to find the right way to coax it out."

Anna and Greg… Engaged!

Greg and Anna met me at Waterfront Park in Charleston for a few pictures to celebrate their recent engagement. And it was a BEAUTIFUL, perfect Charleston day! This couple was so natural in front of the camera, I barely had to do any directing! We spent a while just wandering around Waterfront, Rainbow Row and the Battery Park getting the most amazing images. Congratulations and good luck in the future, you two! Best wishes!

Tiffany’s Bridal Portraits

One of my long time best friends, Tiffany, asked me to do her Engagement session way back in September (view their Engagement images here: http://lindsayrogerson.com/?p=6055), so of course I was ECSTATIC when she asked me to do her Bridal portraits as well! We spent about two hours just wandering around Swan Lake in Sumter on an unusually warm (about 70 degrees!) December day. I absolutely LOVE all of Tiffany’s images and I have had the hardest time trying to pick out my favorites. She’s always been my favorite blue-eyed red head!:)I LOVEDDD being a bridesmaid in your wedding, with all that entails, and witnessing you say “I do” to Arthur! Oh, and I had a blast doing Gangnam Style and the Wobble with you at your reception! Have the TIME of your life in San Francisco, Tiffany and Arthur!!

Amber Maternity and Family

Amber, Eric and Caiden met me at Swan Lake in Sumter to take some maternity photos before baby Dylan’s arrival in a couple of months. Amber is the CUTEST mother-to-be with her little baby bump! Plus the little newborn shoes… absolutely adorable. We captured some beautiful moments that I am really happy with and proud to share… Enjoy!:)

Brandy, Brian and Austin – Family

I met Austin and his mommy Brandy and daddy Brian at Swan Lake for a family photoshoot a few weeks ago. I always enjoy spending time with this little family! And of course Austin had a great time exploring like he always does… he even got to climb a tree! Enjoy!

Caitlyn and Marcus Married: November 10th, 2012

Marcus and Caitlyn got married on a cool November afternoon under the gazebo at Delightful Inspirations in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ceremony was just perfect – lots of smiles, laughs and even a few tears! I’ve never heard such honest and touching vows between two people. They had me tearing up with everyone else! But then again, I’m ALWAYS the girl that cries at weddings (even if I don’t know the couple extremely well! LOL!). Guests then enjoyed a reception in the dining hall and tons of hilarious dancing. I definitely enjoyed my visit to North Carolina to see two people as sweet and genuine as Marcus and Caitlyn tie the knot! Best of luck, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson!!:D
